118. Made For Each Other –The Ideal Man and His Bride……………….!

Our ancients have emphasized that for any relationship love is the key in understanding each other. It also provides warmth to the people involved in. One such relationship is the institution called marriage. The bond between the man and his bride is celebrated with much enthusiasm on the wedding day and indicates the union of not only two individuals but also two families. But in modern cultures marriages seem to be crumbling with great swift not too long after the day on which a wedding is celebrated. Logic would dictate that educated couples would be able to maintain steady familial relationships and refrain from break up of their marriage. This is not the case and divorces rates are increasing at rapid rates even more in the educated lot itself. 

The seven vows that couples take on their wedding day seem to evaporate in no time. This is because the difference in the identity between the two and the other influences. Man and his bride are no separate entities. They are like Light and Lamp illuminating jointly the path of their married life. If one make a herculean effort to identify one without the other he will fail unless they decide to get separated. 

The bond between them is described in Vishnu Purana as thus: 

If She is the Language, He is the Thought 

If She is Prudence, He is the Law 

If She is the Sense, He is the Reason 

If She is the Duty, He is the Authority 

If She is the Wish, He is the Will 

If She is the Souvenir, He is Compassion 

If She is the Note, He is the Song 

If She is the Fuel, He is the Fire 

If She is the Glory, He is the Sun 

If She is the Motion, He is the Wind 

If She is the Wealth, He is the Possessor 

If She is the Might, He is the Battle 

If She is the Light, He is the Lamp 

If She is the Night, He is the Day 

If She is the Mercy, He is the Justice 

If She is the River, He is the Channel 

If She is the Beauty, He is the Strength 

If She is the Body, He is the Soul
