148. Mind Conquered is World Conquered………..!

Manas (Mind) generates Vrittis (Thoughts) that are evaluated by the Buddhi (Intellect) which is a part of the Anthahkarana (Integral Organ) and then the process of action that has been vented out on the thought is stored in Chitta (Memory) another aspect of Anthahkarana for further references by Ahamkara (Ego). This is the psychological processes that happen in every event of life. Amazingly that thought which we contribute to the objects outside us is in fact originated from the stored past memories which may be sweet or bitter. These thoughts get triggered by the sense organs which pick up leads through external environment. We can posses either positive or negative thoughts depending on the event that might have happened in relation to the event of the past. Mind which is a projecting medium does not care about the difference but the Intellect can know about the difference. It can assess these thoughts and determine if these are pure feelings or negative emotions. Now many say that we have no hold on the thoughts that appear in our mind. It is true that thoughts in our mind are not controllable, but our intellect can evaluate the thoughts that appear and if mind is conquered then it will listen to the intellect and will willingly generate only those types of thoughts that the intellect has determined to be pure feelings. This can be achieved when the intellect very politely trains the mind by declining regularly any thoughts that are unwanted and helps none or cause harm to others. Mind is always the master of intellect in case of ordinary human beings. If a person is spiritually inclined his first and foremost act is to get his intellect rule over his mind and get the upper hand. It is so unfortunate that even after so many births it is an unfulfilled task. Spirituality loads strength to a seeker and help him accomplish the task. Spirituality trains the intellect to win over the mind with right nutrition from scriptures. Once the mind is conquered by the intellect then we’ve have won ourselves and world.
